Product Details
Fenlong-MR Liniment is a mixture of five medications. Diclofenac is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medication (NSAID). It acts by inhibiting the release of chemical messengers that induce pain and inflammation (redness, swelling). Capsaicin desensitizes nerve endings, which relieves pain, but rubefacients increase blood flow to the afflicted region, providing a warm and relaxing sensation. Mephenesin is a muscle relaxer. It operates on the brain and spinal cord to reduce muscular stiffness or spasms without reducing strength. This reduces muscular discomfort and allows for better mobility. Camphor belongs to the rubefacient/antitussive drug family. When applied to the skin, it improves blood flow and local temperature in the afflicted region, reducing and temporarily relieving pain symptoms. Menthol is an organic substance derived from peppermint oil. It triggers the cold-sensing chemical messenger, causing a cooling effect.
